Smart cultural heritage tourism in the High Coast

The project aims to connect cultural heritage stories and experiences, partly with digital technology and with a focus on physical destinations.

About the project

The purpose of the project is to create interest and curiosity among residents in other regions by digitally showcasing the lifestyle opportunities that living in Höga Kusten offers. The project will find a structure for collaboration with local guides in Höga Kusten's municipalities where we work with a common ambassadorship. There are many good initiatives on the theme of living and residing in Höga Kusten. Most of them are either local, initiated by Leader Höga Kusten or industry networks. There is a lack of a common and comprehensive infrastructure to attract new residents to Höga Kusten and to make them stay.

One way to create such a structure is to develop a digital Höga Kusten guide and to create a concept where communities develop a structured reception with physical guides. The digital guide will be a common entry point to life in Höga Kusten.

The project also aligns well with the upcoming local development strategy's vision, mission, and goals, as well as the formulation that with creativity, collaboration, and openness, we together shape an innovative, sustainable, and inclusive Höga Kusten for more to live, thrive, and work – one level higher. The project creates an opportunity to test and explore different ways to introduce Höga Kusten to newcomers.
