Rural development
Leader is a method where businesses, non-profit, and public parties work together to develop their place. The method is used throughout the EU and is based on the idea that local development is carried out most effectively and sustainably by those who live and operate in an area. Through Leader, collaborating organizations can apply for support for development projects that contribute to achieving the goals of the leader area.
Our strategy
The Leader area Höga Kusten includes four municipalities: Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. Leader areas exist throughout Sweden, and each area has a local development strategy that forms the basis for development in the area. The strategy constitutes the framework for our activities during the years 2023-2030 and thus guides our work and how our funds will be distributed during the period. The strategy is based on local needs and has been developed in collaboration between the public, non-profit, and private sectors.
Our staff
The association's staff is tasked with supporting and coaching individuals and organizations that want to develop the rural areas of Höga Kusten. They have extensive knowledge of financing and support for development ideas within our leader area – feel free to reach out!
