From idea to reality!

Once you have submitted your project application to the Swedish Board of Agriculture and received a positive decision from the Leaders board, you can start the work. You can count your time from the day your application was submitted via My pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website. You can start the project before you receive a formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture (about 6-10 months after the board's decision), but this is done at your own risk.

We want you to succeed! Our project coaches are with you throughout the implementation. We will have follow-up meetings and offer support for applications for payments and are just an email away! Our communicator is also available as help and support when it comes to designing and producing communication and information materials.

Handbook for project owners

A handbook for succeeding with your project!

This handbook is a practical guide for you who are running projects within Leader Höga Kusten. Here you will find information about the project organization's responsibilities, financial reporting, voluntary contributions, and how to handle any deviations in the project. The handbook helps you follow the regulations and ensure a correctly executed project report. Download the handbook and take part in important advice to succeed with your project!

Use our logos

Let it be known that it is a leader project

All projects that have leader funding must show this by using our logos. This applies to advertisements, information sheets, and websites, for example. We have developed an information and communication guide to facilitate this work for you, feel free to download it and use it as support.

We are happy to help you spread information about your initiative in our channels – feel free to tag us to make us aware of what is happening.

You are the ambassadors of Höga Kusten!

Leader projects inspire! Please tell others about us and the opportunity to apply for leader support. Together we develop a sustainable place that we call home.

Advice and information along the way

Apply for an advance

There is an opportunity to apply for an advance on the support as soon as you have received the formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture – this applies to everyone except municipalities and authorities.

In the decision, you can see how much support you can receive from the Swedish Board of Agriculture, the project support part. It is that amount that forms the basis for what you can receive in advance. You can apply for up to 50% of the project support part in advance, but no more than 250,000 kronor.

Remember to report expenses also for the advance, it is part of your granted support. You report in connection with the application for partial and final payment.

You apply for an advance via My pages on The Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Apply for partial payment

You can apply for partial payment at any time after you have received your support decision and have incurred expenses for the project.

We advise everyone to make a payment application within two months into the project and then continuously every quarter throughout the project period. This way, it is easier for you to maintain your liquidity. You apply for partial payments via My pages on The Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Be careful with payment proofs
In addition to invoice copies, you also need payment proofs showing that the payments have gone through. A payment proof can be downloaded from the online bank, often you can click on “Historical payments” or similar. The following must be stated on the payment proof:

  • Payment date
  • Paid amount
  • Sender (which account the money has been withdrawn from)
  • Recipient (that the payment has gone to the same plusgiro, bankgiro, or account number as stated on the invoice)
  • That the payment has been completed. “Immediate payment” is not considered a completed payment.

Avoid deductions

  • Read the decision carefully. Follow the conditions, approved project plan, and budget. If you deviate from the project plan and your decision, you risk not receiving the funds you have applied for. Only the expenses stated in the decision are eligible for support.
  • Be aware of the project's end date. Your decision states the project's end date, and it is important that you submit the application for final payment so that it has reached the Swedish Board of Agriculture by this date at the latest. If you apply after your end date, you will receive a deduction from the approved support.
  • Be careful with the logos. Ensure that the correct logos are included on all materials. If this is missed, there is a risk of deductions. We can advise you if you are unsure.
  • Do not forget to separately account for the project's expenses. To avoid deductions, when applying for payment, you should include a report from the accounting that only contains the expenses related to the project.

If things do not go as planned

Contact us at the Leader office if something occurs that prevents the project from being carried out as intended. Likewise, if more time is needed to implement the initiative or if the financing of the project changes. It is important that this contact occurs before you make any changes. A new decision may need to be made that adjusts to the new circumstances.

Report the voluntary time

Facilitate the work of reporting voluntary time by writing down your hours continuously throughout the project period. You can credit your time from the day your application was submitted via My pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Forms for time reporting can be found on the page Forms and logos but it is perfectly fine to create your own lists in, for example, Excel. The important thing is that it is clear who has done something, when it was done, and what has been done. The lists also need to include contact details, such as phone numbers, for those who have contributed with voluntary work.

We will follow up on the voluntary time in connection with project visits, and a summary should be emailed to your contact at the development office during the final reporting.
