Hermansjöbygden – cultural heritage in the inland of the High Coast

The interest group is seeking support to make the cultural heritage and history of the site accessible. This is done with an inclusion focus where children and young people are identified as one of the target groups, but also the Sami cultural heritage.

About the project

The interest association seeks support to make accessible the cultural heritage and the history that exists at the site, this is done with an inclusion focus where children and young people are designated as one of the target groups but also the Sami cultural heritage that exists at the site is highlighted and there is a focus on connecting further. One of the ways to make the history accessible is to establish information along a hiking trail that exists along the path. All this is done in collaboration with Holmen Skog, which owns the land in this knowledge forest as it is called, and in collaboration with them, one wants to make the history and knowledge that exists there even more visible.

The project also seeks funds to collect stories about the site and the family that has existed there. This is done in collaboration with people who have had connections to the site and are among the last who are alive who have these stories to tell.
