Apply

If the board assesses that your expression of interest has the conditions to be granted project support, it is time to make an application for support in the Agricultural Agency's system. Our project coaches will assist you through the process.

Positive feedback on the expression of interest?

To receive support from Leader Höga Kusten, your project idea must align with our strategy and fit within one of our three intervention areas; an initial assessment of this is made by the board of Leader Höga Kusten with the help of your expression of interest. If you have received feedback that the board assesses that your idea has the potential to be granted leader support, then it is time to make an application in the Agricultural Agency's system!

Have you not submitted an expression of interest for assessment? Then you need to go back to Step 1.

Book an appointment with your project coach

In connection with us sending out the board's feedback on your expression of interest, we also ask you to get back to us with a meeting time to go through how the application step works. Together with the project coach, you will review the feedback you received from the board; this may involve things you need to clarify or choose a direction around. We will also go through the content on this page and how you prepare to submit your application.

The project coach will then be with you throughout the application process to answer questions and serve as a sounding board. Just as when you wrote your expression of interest, you need to be aware of the content in our strategy, our conditions, and our selection criteria. If you need to refresh your memory, all information is available here.

Apply for a power of attorney from the Swedish Board of Agriculture

To be able to make a project application to the Agricultural Agency, the person responsible for submitting the application must have authorization for this. It takes a few days to obtain the authorization, so it is important that you do this as quickly as possible. The authorization is requested via a special form and sent by post to the Agricultural Agency.

Write your application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system

Once the power of attorney is in place, it is time to start the application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.

Find the right e-service

Go to www.jordbruksverket.se and log in to My Pages (at the top right corner) with Bank-ID. Select the organization you will represent and write your application. If you do not see the organization you represent, the power of attorney has not yet taken effect.

To make your application complete, you need to attach:

  • A budget template. If the project includes investments, you must also attach two comparable quotes for the investment. Other costs may also need quotes; consult your project coach to determine when this is necessary.
  • A liquidity certificate showing that you have the ability to cover expenses corresponding to approximately 30% of the project support you wish to apply for; for example, bank statements, balance sheets, or loan promises. This is needed because the support is paid out only when you have incurred the costs.
  • Letter of intent/collaboration agreement or similar with the organizations you will collaborate with during the project period. The document needs to specify what each organization will contribute to the project, as well as what benefits they will gain from the project's results.
  • Justification indicators. To measure whether the project achieves its goals, each project needs to specify target values (indicators). The Agricultural Agency does not yet have technical support to do this in the e-service, so you need to fill out a separate appendix with target values and justifications for why these are reasonable.

Below you can download the documents you need.

4: Submission and decision

The application must be submitted in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system three weeks before the Leader Höga Kusten board meets to prioritize projects. Current dates can be found in our calendar.

If the board decides to approve your application, the Swedish Board of Agriculture must formally approve the project. Receiving a formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture often takes three to five months. However, you will receive information about Leader Höga Kusten's prioritization within a couple of days after the board meeting. If you choose to start the project before the Swedish Board of Agriculture has made its decision, it is done at your own risk.
