Sustainable Tourism in Nätradalen
To support tourism, the project Sustainable Tourism in Nätradalen has now been implemented. The idea is that this project will be a deepening of Bygdsam Nätradalen's regular activities where they address various issues requested by businesses, associations, individuals, and the municipality.
About the project
Nätradalen stretches from the village of Sidensjö in the west to the islands of Trysunda and Ulvön in the center of the World Heritage Site High Coast. In the area, there are many reasons to visit for experiences of various kinds.
Two entrances to Skuleskogen National Park mean several tens of thousands of visitors annually for the area and good access to outdoor life. The High Coast Trail also runs through Skuleskogen, which in turn connects Nätradalen with the municipalities of Kramfors and Örnsköldsvik. There is also good access to art, culture, and history through High Coast Art Valley and Mikko Andersson's foundation.
To support tourism, the project Sustainable Tourism in Nätradalen is now being launched. The idea is that this project will be a deepening of Bygdsam Nätradalen's regular activities where they address various issues requested by businesses, associations, individuals, and the municipality. The deepening within the tourism industry should lead to growth, pride, new job opportunities, and increase the attractiveness of Nätradalen.
The goal of the project is to:
- Inspire entrepreneurs to develop and realize new profitable products within the tourism industry in Nätradalen.
- Develop at least 10 combinations/packages of commercial and sustainable products, experiences, and services.
- Anchor the function of Sustainable Tourism in Nätradalen for the future.
- Establish forms for effective collaboration processes in the work with High Coast Tourism and High Coast Destination Development, primarily in the work around new experience products.
- Achieve increased collaboration with other industry stakeholders in the High Coast.
This project is yet another step in the development of a region with a tradition in fishing, agriculture, and sawmill industry towards a new industry, cultural and nature tourism.
