Mannaminne – culture and industries
The Mannaminne Foundation now wants visitors to discover and explore the art and cultural heritage found in the High Coast area to an even greater extent. Therefore, a project is being initiated to develop the operations both on-site and in a digital platform.
About the project
The purpose is for Mannaminne to develop from a private cultural facility to a community facility that more artists and cultural workers can utilize. They can, for example, use the facility for activities and as a showcase for their own operations. The project also includes work to produce a proposal for Mannaminne to develop into a cultural reserve for art as well as building and wood culture. A status as a cultural reserve enables long-term financing.
To increase visibility for art and cultural heritage in the High Coast, a digital platform for information and storytelling is being created. Here, visitors will find information about Mannaminne as well as about other artists and cultural workers who can be visited in the area.
Through collaboration while local cultural workers and educators in art and crafts want Mannaminne to develop permanent activities year-round for children and youth in the Children's House and Story Village.
