The tourism industry is becoming increasingly important for the development of the countryside around Skuleberget. For the tourism industry to be able to grow, it is important to utilize new seasons, so that more and more can seek out the area during all seasons.
About the project
New accommodation facilities and entrepreneurs have in recent years increased the belief in the tourism industry's opportunities. Already today, Friluftsbyn, Via Ferrata, Skule Naturscen, Skulefestivalen, Naturum, and Skule AB attract about 60,000 visitors to the area each year. Now it is time for the next step. At the initiative of Docksta Table Tennis Club, associations and tourism companies have decided to strengthen their collaboration. Together, they are investing in new seasons, events, and in infrastructure for outdoor activities.
The activity trail will become a central part of the project. It will provide opportunities for skating, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, dog sledding, and horseback riding year-round. The trail will connect the various facilities and link Skuleberget to the national park. The project aims to strengthen the image of Skuleberget as a year-round destination. More visitors with an interest in nature and activities should make new and existing companies interested in investing in the area.
