Sustainable cultural environments in Örnsköldsvik

The three associations involved in the project own or manage properties located in highly regarded cultural environments, two of which operate in areas classified as national interest. Visitor pressure is high for all of them, and it is becoming difficult to run the operations on a non-profit basis; concurrently, there is an increased demand from cultural and creative industries to find premises for their businesses or to use unique locations as a starting point for their companies. Therefore, the project aims to bring these stakeholders together to see if both parties can benefit from collaboration. In this way, the cultural environments can continue to be accessible to the public, and the non-profit association life can make room for new businesses.
