Art and culture - destinations

Nordingrå Art Village is driving the project to create a sustainable business model for artists and cultural practitioners in Höga Kusten and Västernorrland.

About the project

Nordingrå Art Village has over the last 30-40 years gathered artists and cultural practitioners. Today, there are artist studios, a gallery, and a café during the summer. Most of the work has been done voluntarily with many hours of volunteer work invested.

To increase profitability and create a place and a forum where artists can live off their art, Nordingrå Art Village has launched the project “Art and cultural destination in Höga Kusten.” The purpose of the project is to create an organization that can contribute to increased profitability for the artists and increased attractiveness for the place. One goal is for the artists to be able to focus on their art while Nordingrå Art Village as an organization takes care of marketing and administration.

”Leader Höga Kusten is an enabler. Without the support from Leader, the development of our place would have taken much longer.”
