About the project

The project is a feasibility study that will investigate the conditions for a larger development project where one will contribute to an engaged and inclusive civil society where everyone, regardless of age, background, and affiliation, has a natural place and a context to be in. The feasibility study will, by highlighting cultural issues as a growth opportunity, help achieve the municipality's goal of becoming 5,000 more.

The feasibility study will contribute to inventorying, identifying, and investigating what culture exists today around our municipality, but also find out what culture is desired to exist. The feasibility study covers all of Örnsköldsvik municipality's rural areas and is conducted in collaboration between Örnsköldsvik's four Bygdsam organizations; Bygdsam Gideälvdal, Bygdsam Anundsjö, Bygdsam Grundsunda, and Bygdsam Nätradalen as project owner. Together, the Bygdsam organizations gather about forty associations.

By stimulating and creating networks to maintain, renew, and strengthen both cultural creation and cultural consumption, the idea contributes to a place where the opportunity to feel seen, heard, and needed increases.
