High Coast Art Valley
Already today there are 26 artworks that adorn Nätradalen (High Coast Art Valley and more will come, thanks to a larger private donation that has been granted to the community. Now Bygdsam Nätradalen wants to amplify the effects of the donation through a major investment in cultural tourism where the artworks are in focus.
About the project
Bygdsam Nätradalen is a collaboration organization where entrepreneurs, associations, and the municipality cooperate. The goal of the High Coast Art Valley project is for the community to become an interesting and obvious destination within culture, nature, and outdoor life. They want to achieve this by creating a service and supply catalog that gathers existing and new business ideas. The compilation will be a living document for business development within the project. The goal is also to create increased consensus and competence around the tourism industry and to increase interest in developing commercial goods and services.
The project aims to create at least two companies, as well as to develop Näske Residens Tolfhamn. The residences are located in the late artist Malte Nyberg XII's property in Näske and include a studio, the country's likely first youth culture residence, a hostel in an art environment, and an art scene in the form of a hiking and experience ramp.
Project partners include local associations, entrepreneurs, and experts in the tourism industry. Higher artistic education is also seen as a natural partner.
