Collaboration and networking in Nora
In Nora, a project has been implemented to increase the area's attractiveness as a residential location, to attract visitors, and to create a good business climate. The initiative comes from the community sector, which together with the municipality wants to develop the area, especially along the tourist trail that runs through the area.
About the project
Nora has a strong tradition of driven and active associations and entrepreneurs who work for the development of the community. With the new tourist road, there are now great opportunities to develop tourism and the business sector. Now, together with the municipality, they want to take strong action and come up with good ideas that can develop the area.
A working group with associations and businesses from Nora has been formed to, together with the municipality, trade, and hotels, create ideas, visions, and collaborations for development around selected hubs in Nora. The hubs are all located along the new tourist trail in Nora and consist of Berghamn/Östanö, Nyadal, Hörsångs beach, and Torrom.
The collaboration and project are to result in better marketing of the area and in the creation of a new website and informational material about Nora as a destination. The goal is also to have created two new reasons to visit the area in the long term, which creates conditions for entrepreneurs to develop their tourism business. In the long run, the goal is also to create jobs, a favorable business climate, and to become attractive as a residential area, especially for younger families with children.
